Bio

Sigmund S. Semon is Counsel to the firm’s Real Estate and Litigation Practice Groups and has represented major real estate developers throughout the greater New York area. In addition, he has represented both commercial and residential real estate owners and managers on office buildings, apartment buildings and commercial property. Sig also represents major commercial real estate brokers in Queens, Nassau and Suffolk and is thoroughly familiar with all aspects of real estate brokerage law. His clients also include numerous banks and financial institutions in the areas of both commercial and residential funding.

Sports are an integral part of Sig’s life. In addition to the sports he participates in, he has also represented the United States Tennis Association at the National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadow as well as other sports facilities in New York and New Jersey and has served as General Counsel to professional sports franchises.

Sig is a member of the American Arbitration Association, having previously served as Rules Chairman on the Construction Industry Panel and has served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. In addition he has lectured for the American Arbitration Association in the area of construction industry arbitration.

Sig is a graduate of Lafayette College, with High Honors and Cornell Law School. He has served as a member of the Board and President of several condominium associations. Sig serves as Village Justice for the Village of North Hills. Sig and his wife reside in North Hills and have three children and five grandchildren.
