Mauro Viskovic



Mauro Viskovic is counsel to the firm’s Corporate/Business practice group providing high quality and cost-effective solutions to clients’ legal matters.

He represents businesses and entrepreneurs through all stages of their ventures’ development, including advice on structure, initial company formation and organization, private financings, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and liquidity events. In addition, Mauro represents business and investors in all aspects of corporate finance transactions.

Mauro’s practice includes counseling companies in a wide range of industries ranging from finance to basic manufacturing and distribution to high-tech computer software and hardware.

Mauro’s life as an attorney began with Morrison Cohen LLP, where he largely represented venture capital and private equity firms in their investment activities. Thereafter Mauro became one of the founding partners of Kranjac Manuali & Viskovic LLP, where, he continued to handle corporate and securities matters, including securities offerings, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. In 2013, Mauro started his corporate boutique practice, Viskovic LLC, representing clients on complex corporate and securities matters, often on transactions where counterparties were represented by AmLaw100 firms. Mauro then transitioned his practice to Meltzer Lippe, where he was able to synergize his services with a first-rate Corporate Group and the firm’s other highly reputable practice areas.

Mauro graduated from Fordham University School of Law and earned his BBA degree in Accounting from Baruch College. Having passed all 4 parts of the CPA exam and having earned years of valuable experience at KPMG prior to law school, Mauro is able to read, review and understand financial statements and tax returns at a highly sophisticated level. His understanding of important accounting concepts has enabled him to negotiate substantial value for his clients in connection with their business transactions.

In addition to practicing law, Mauro serves as the President of the Croatian American Bar Association and serves on the Executive Committee of the Association of Croatian American Professionals. He lectures regularly and has authored numerous articles on matters related to corporate and securities law, business acquisitions and choice of entities for start-up ventures.

Mauro lives in Queens, loves soccer and rock n’ roll, and enjoys spending quality time, joking with and partaking in fun activities with his son and two daughters.
