Joshua D. Sussman
Josh works with clients to understand their needs and resolve their business disputes practically and efficiently, both inside the courtroom and out. As a certified mediator, Josh knows that most disputes do not result in litigation. When litigation does occur, and because of the direct mentoring he has received from senior members of the practice group, Josh has been entrusted to handle an array of complex disputes in New York’s and New Jersey’s local, state and federal courts from inception through trial.
Josh has successfully represented commercial landlords in real estate disputes here in New York and large companies with a national presence out-of-state. His practice primarily includes resolving shareholder disputes, breaches of joint venture agreements, breach of asset purchase agreements, bankruptcy, commercial real estate disputes, trade secret misappropriation, enforcement of restrictive covenants and prosecuting and defending a variety of breach of contract claims.
Joshua is admitted to practice in State of New York, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York, the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court of the District of New Jersey, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
Joshua is an avid golfer, tennis player and former baseball writer.
