Allison A. Gatoff
Allison A. Gatoff is an associate in the firm’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group concentrating in trusts and estates litigation. Allison counsels clients in all phases of Surrogate’s Court matters, including probate contests, contested accountings, discovery proceedings, construction proceedings, and other miscellaneous proceedings. She is certified to serve as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem to represent individuals who cannot protect their own rights and interests.
Prior to joining Meltzer Lippe, Allison was an associate at a boutique trusts and estates firm in Garden City where she was involved in all phases of the administration of trusts and estates, as well as contested trusts and estates matters in the Surrogate’s Court and Supreme Court of the State of New York.
Allison earned her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she served as an Associate Editor of the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal. She received her Bachelor of Science in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications, cum laude, from East Carolina University.
