The Griggs Fable Ignored: The Far-Reaching Impact of a False Premise at Hofstra Law School

Jeffrey Douglas, Esq.  and co-author Robert L. Douglas, Esq. are presenting their forthcoming article The Griggs Fable Ignored: The Far-Reaching Impact of a False Premise at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University on Wednesday, November 4 at 6:00 p.m.  The lecture will analyze the development of disparate impact from the legislative history of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the U.S. Supreme Court’s controversial decision in Griggs v. Duke Power Company and the present effects of the Griggs decision in employment discrimination law.
