Meltzer Lippe invites you and your guest to an exclusive dinner with Richard Ravitch on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Dick Ravitch has been at the center of business, and government in New York  for the past 60 years. Gov. Hugh Carey turned to Ravitch to rescue the New York State Urban Development Corporation from bankruptcy. He was chairman of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority 1979-1983, he helped turn around the Bowery savings bank, served on two presidential commissions, and became chief labor negotiator for Major League Baseball (which is why we are hoping he can explain to us the real story of why the Dodgers left Brooklyn). In 2008, Dick was appointed Lt. Governor of New York. We have invited him to speak as a raconteur – sharing with us insights from deep within the most challenging moments in our state and national history. We hope his reflections will help us understand where we have been, where we are now, and where we must go to prosper in our region. Steve Israel will participate in the discussion.
