Stephanie Suarez is an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment and Litigation practice groups. She represents management in a wide array of labor and employment disputes throughout the Tri-State area.

Stephanie has successfully represented clients in employment discrimination matters before a variety of local, state, and federal agencies, including the New York City Commission on Human Rights, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has also represented clients in private mediation, and regularly defends clients in employment discrimination and wage and hour litigations in state and federal courts throughout New York and Connecticut.

In addition to representing clients in litigation, Stephanie counsels businesses on compliance with local, state, and federal anti-discrimination laws. She frequently assists clients with workforce training, including providing anti-sexual harassment training to employees in accordance with the 2018 New York State and New York City anti-sexual harassment laws, among other topics. Stephanie also assists clients in creating and enforcing restrictive covenants and related employment agreements.

Stephanie’s practice also includes defending property owners and managers in cases involving allegations of housing discrimination pursuant to the Fair Housing Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and related statutes before state and local agencies, and in federal courts in both New York and Connecticut.

In 2018, Stephanie was featured in Long Island Business News’ list of “Who’s Who” for Women in Professional Services. Stephanie received her juris doctorate from Harvard Law School, where she was awarded a Dean’s Scholar Prize for her work as a legal intern with the Essex County District Attorney’s Office in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She holds a B.A. magna cum laude in Philosophy and a B.S. summa cum laude in Communication from Boston University.

Prior to joining the firm, Stephanie practiced litigation across various industries with several firms in New York and Long Island, and was a law clerk to the Honorable E. Thomas Boyle, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York, from 2012 to 2013.

Stephanie is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
