Robert R. Barravecchio is Counsel to the Labor and Employment and Litigation Practice Groups of Meltzer Lippe.
Rob represents employers in various areas of litigation, including wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment and retaliation. He has experience defending employers against claims under federal and state civil rights and labor statutes, including Title VII and the Equal Pay Act. He has represented employers in all areas of workplace disputes, including discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, common-law torts, non-competes, unfair competition, trade secrets, wrongful termination, and constitutional law claims.
Rob has represented clients involved with home health care, education, food services and a host of other businesses encompassing a diverse range of complex matters.
Prior to joining Meltzer Lippe, Rob was an Associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group of the law firm of Epstein, Becker & Green, PC, where he counseled employers in various areas including, developing and enforcing employment policies and complying with federal and state laws. He has been selected as a “New York Super Lawyer” for 2016 and 2017.
Rob received his J.D. from New York Law School. He received his B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Rob is admitted to practice before the United States District Court of New Jersey and the Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of New York. He is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars, and the American Bar Association.
Rob also serves as a member of the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section, Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations Alumni Association and the National Italian-American Foundation.
